Different roles between apron and terminal
Airport ground handling clothing should treat ramp and baggage teams on the apron, technical staff working beside aircraft and terminal teams meeting passengers separately. On the apron, staff work through a shift with wind, rain, noise and vehicle traffic; in the terminal, a tidy and easily recognisable appearance matters more. For transport staff uniforms, we discuss duty points, shift patterns and seasonal needs. The same approach can be applied to teams at ports, stations and transfer hubs.
Trousers, coats, waistcoats and polos
Work trousers, reflective coats and waistcoats are the garments most often discussed for apron teams. In winter, coats and waistcoats are planned together for layering; in summer, a waistcoat can be worn over a polo or T-shirt. Branded polos give terminal and passenger service teams an appearance that matches company colours. Pockets and loops for radios, ID cards and small equipment are defined in the garment brief.

Visibility and organisation specifications
High visibility is frequently requested in areas with heavy vehicle traffic such as the apron. The presence of reflective tape alone is not evidence that a high-visibility standard is met. For high-visibility, flame, fuel or static electricity requirements, send the technical specification of your organisation or the airport operator; material choice and documentation are clarified before quotation. A garment photograph or quotation does not constitute approval for operational use; your organisation’s own review process must be completed separately.
Orders for shift teams
Share duty points, the garment list per team, size distribution and seasonal needs. The number of sets per person for shift changes and model references for future staff can also be discussed. When the seasonal garment list, fabric and branding are clear, we prepare a quotation. Shipping conditions are discussed separately.

Frequently asked questions
Can apron and terminal teams use different garments?
Yes. Share the garment list for each duty point separately; coats, waistcoats, trousers and polos can follow one colour and logo plan.
Does a reflective coat meet a high-visibility standard?
Reflective strips alone do not show compliance. State the required standard and documentation in your technical specification so they can be reviewed before a quotation.
How are the airport operator’s clothing rules taken into account?
Share the operator’s or your organisation’s clothing specification, including colour and lettering rules. Model and branding are discussed against those rules; approval for use depends on your organisation’s process.
Can we request separate winter and summer quotations?
Send seasonal garment lists, quantities and sizes separately. Coats, waistcoats, trousers and polos can be treated as separate quotation items.
