Clothing for site conditions

Mining workwear should treat open pits, underground work, crushing and screening plants, workshops and loading points separately. Dust, mud, humidity and temperature changes during the day are decisive for fabric and model choice. For quarry clothing, we start with role allocation, shift length and the amount of heavy machinery traffic. Needs can differ between machine operators, maintenance teams and site supervisors.

Coveralls, trousers and jackets

Coveralls with reflective strips and two-piece sets are the garments most often discussed for mine sites. In areas with heavy dust and mud, dark and contrasting colours are reviewed together with the washing routine. Work trousers and jackets suit the maintenance workshop, while operators may need models with generous freedom of movement. Layering and outerwear are planned separately for winter conditions.

Protection requirements and specifications

Mine and quarry sites may involve visibility, flame, static electricity or chemical risks. Reflective strips or a particular fabric do not by themselves establish compliance with a protective standard. For such requirements, send your technical specification; suitability and supporting documents are considered at the pre-quotation stage. Hard hats, respiratory protection and safety footwear are personal protective equipment and should be handled separately from everyday workwear.

Bulk orders for a site

Share the number of sites, headcount by shift and role, the garment list and size distribution. If contractor teams should follow the same colour plan, mention this as well. Once fabric, strip layout and delivery requirements are known, we prepare your quotation; shipping to site is agreed separately.

Frequently asked questions

How is colour chosen for dusty and muddy sites?

Share your company colour, site conditions and washing routine. Dark and contrasting shades are discussed by model; complete stain removal is not assumed.

Does reflective mining clothing meet a standard?

Reflective strips alone do not establish compliance. State the required standard and documentation in your technical specification so they can be reviewed before a quotation.

Can underground and open-pit teams wear the same garments?

Describe the working conditions of each area separately. Garment and fabric choices are reviewed with that information; specific protection requirements are assessed against the specification.

How many sets per person should be planned for shift work?

Share the shift pattern, washing frequency and the number of sets required per person. The quotation scope is prepared on that basis.
