Different units in the field

Municipal workwear should consider public works, road maintenance, street cleaning, parks and water and drainage crews separately. A crew working close to traffic on a road and staff working in a park do not have the same needs. For utility crew clothing, we discuss the working environment, shift and working hours, and seasonal needs. Public bodies usually work to a technical specification, so sharing it at the outset makes the process easier.

Jackets, trousers, coveralls and outerwear

Reflective work jackets and trousers are a frequently requested combination for road and utility work. Coveralls may suit drainage, network and maintenance tasks, while lighter work trousers and T-shirts can be considered for parks teams. Coats and waistcoats are planned for layering in winter, with lighter fabrics for summer. The organisation’s logo and unit name are applied according to the size and position given in the specification.

  • Coveralls for network and maintenance work
  • Seasonal garments for parks and cleaning teams
  • Branding areas for the organisation’s logo and unit name

Visibility and technical specification

High visibility is frequently requested for crews working in areas open to traffic. Adding reflective details does not by itself establish compliance with a high-visibility standard. For high-visibility, chemical, flame or electrical requirements, send your technical specification; materials, construction and documentation are reviewed before a quotation. Everyday staff clothing and personal protective equipment should be handled separately.

Ordering by unit

Share the list of units, garments and quantities per unit, size distribution and the technical specification. If garments are issued seasonally, listing summer and winter items separately clarifies the quotation scope. Once the specification review and garment details are complete, the quotation is prepared. Delivery location and shipping are discussed separately.

Frequently asked questions

Can you quote against our organisation’s technical specification?

Share the specification, garment list and quantities. Materials, construction and documentation are reviewed before a quotation, and any points that cannot be met are stated separately.

Does a reflective jacket meet a high-visibility standard?

Reflective strips alone do not show compliance. The required standard and documentation should be stated in the specification and are reviewed before a quotation.

Can different units use different colours?

List the units and the colour required for each. Producing one model in different colours is discussed with the fabric options.

Can summer and winter garments be planned separately?

Send seasonal garment lists, quantities and sizes separately. Jackets, trousers, coveralls and outerwear can be treated as separate quotation items.
